How do I host my app 24/7?
Deploy a Container, pick your runtime, upload your code, add your Environment Variables and start your server: easy as that! Your app keeps running, even if your computer is offline.
Is this a VPS?
No, FPS.ms does not offer VPS hosting. Your application runs in a container managed by FPS.ms. This means you never have to update its operating system, install security patches or keep the machine running yourself.
What can I run in a Container?
Websites, APIs, background workers and bots, written in Python, Node.js, Bun, Dart, Haskell, Kotlin, Lua, Odin or Rust. Each runtime has its own page with the details.
Can I host my Discord or Telegram bot?
Yes, of course! Your bot stays online around the clock and starts again if it crashes. More details on the Discord Bot Hosting and Telegram Bot Hosting pages.
Can I deploy from GitHub?
Yes, you can deploy your code directly from GitHub, and even automatically (re)deploy your container when you push to your branch. If something breaks in your code, you can always roll back. GitHub deploys are a Pro feature.
How does the free plan work?
A free plan has to be renewed every day to stay online, and at least once every 28 days to keep its data. More details on the Free Python Hosting and Free Node.js Hosting pages.
How much memory does my app need?
Simple scripts and bots run fine on our free plan. For a website or an API, 256 to 512 MB of memory is the sweet spot. If your app is heavy, 1 or 2 GB of memory runs it with ease. Need more? Contact us for a custom plan.
Do paid plans include a database?
Yes, every paid plan from 256 MB includes a MariaDB database.
